“Inner Turmoil” by Native canadian Algonquin metis Artist Diana Frost.
It is a stark depiction of the inner struggle for a residential school survivor. She is trying to reconnect with her culture, her family, her community but she has been taught in residential school that their beliefs are evil, savage, backwards. She struggles to fit in with her natuve community and with the settler community.
