This year, our 4th Annual Pokaiks Commemorative Walk and Arts Event was amazing. We partnered with the Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth (USAY) and share the river pathways with over 6000 people as we walked to honour survivors of residential schools and their families and remembered the children that we lost. We also were thrilled to host the participation of elders storytelling, 24 community organizations sharing their programming as well as 21 artisans selling their wares. We handed out 1200 lunch bags and did some dance lessons and art activities too! We hope you will join us next year on Sept 30th, 2023.
